Scrimshaw Cow Horn beaker

A Georgian cow horn beaker decorated with a ship in sgraffito and inscribed 'Richard Hill'.   The ships sails and rigging being rendered with unusual attention to detail.  By Repute the inscription refers to English Naval sailor Richard Hill who served between 1778 and 1791.
