A Late 19th Century Rat Catcher Lithograph Automaton

Unusual 2 dimensional clockwork automaton of a gentleman in nightclothes attempting to catch a rat with a carpet beater.   The rat creeps forward as the man  repeatedly missing the rat before he eventually makes contact.  Installed in a glazed case with wooden rear panel with last patent date of 1886 and a retail label from Kyte and Harris.   Excellent working condition with original key.
